We are forming a new First Grade Daisy Girl Scout section as part of our 1st-5th grade troop.  Please contact Kristin Geddes (kristingeddes@yahoo.comor 206-407-3749).

  • Backyard Campfire
  • Food drive benefiting the Ballard Food Bank (we collected over 50 banana boxes of food).
  • Caroling at Magnolia’s Winterfest
  • Sponsor a girl from Kenya to help her go to school and get medical care
  • Sell Girl Scout Cookies!
  • Pool (Mountlake Terrace) and Ice Skating (Highline Ice Arena) Parties
  • Camp-In at Catherine Blaine with movie and ice cream floats
  • All the scouts have learned to build their own campfires and cook all the meals at camp
  • Outdoor Skills (eg. Map Reading, Letter Boxing, Rowing, Knot Tying, Animal ID, etc.)
  • Earn Badges (Pets, Pottery, Painting, Hiking, etc.)
  • Summer residential and day Girl Scout Camps

They meet approximately twice a month at Catherine Blaine on Wednesday evenings from 5:45-7:00. For more information or would like to join, please contact Kristin Geddes ( or 206-407-3749).

Teaching kids the joy of coding computers by helping them write their own customized computer game!

Today’s computers are more like a box of crayons than a calculator. Major math skills are no longer required. The most important traits for coding today are creativity and persistence.

We teach kids the fundamentals of basic coding principles by making it fun. With support and encouragement, it’s amazing what they can create.

5th graders…are you ready?  A Summer Camp for Students Entering 6th Grade

Prep 4 Middle School camp provides a week of lessons and activities that will give insight into life as a middle school student and provide tools for success. A middle school math teacher and middle school counselor team up to review and preview key math concepts, teach study skills, share organizational tips, and prepare students for the social and academic challenges that they may face. Our goal is to have fun and help students feel confident in the transition to middle school.
