Community Outreach – Time is Running out!

UPDATE:  There are TWO WEEKS LEFT to contribute to Lawton’s holiday outreach efforts.  Please read on to find out what you can do to brighten the holiday season for Lawton students in need and their families.
GIFTS STILL NEEDED! Would you like to buy clothing, toys or games, or household items requested by Lawton families in need? Please email Alice Shepard at to select from the list of requested gifts.  The deadline for gift delivery is Monday, December 17th.
WANT TO GIVE GROCERY GIFT CARDS? Please deliver to Laura Thomas in the school office by Monday, December 17th.  Fred Meyer gift cards work well for most families.
NO TIME TO SHOP? You can send in a check and we will do the shopping for you!  Please bring checks (payable to “Lawton PTA” with “Community Outreach” on the memo line) to Laura Thomas in the school office or deliver via your child’s backpack by Wednesday, December 12th.

Seeking Donations of Used Items
Your used items could make great holiday gifts for our Lawton families in need.   Do you see anything on the list below that you’d be willing to donate to a good cause?  We would gladly match it up with a sure-to-be appreciative home in our school community.
  • Video Games for Nintendo DS and Wii
  • iPod
  • Bouncy Chair for Baby
  • Pack ‘n Play
  • Vacuum Cleaner
  • TV (flat screen not needed)
Please give used Nintendo DS and Wii games to Laura Thomas in the school office or mark them for “Community Outreach” and send them to school in your child’s backpack by Monday, December 17th.
